Intake Coordinator & Utilization Review Specialist

Harmony has worked in the field of recovery and substance abuse for close to a decade and has extensive skills from previous positions. She joined The Canyon team in 2014 after serving as Chief Administrative Officer for a group of luxury sober living homes in the Malibu area. Harmony previously worked as a researcher at UCLA Medical Center in the fields of Neuroscience and Nutrition. She is a graduate of the UCLA Certified Addiction and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) Program. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Botany and is completing training as a Horticultural Therapist through the American Horticultural Therapy Association. In her role as Intake Coordinator, she leads the intake department overseeing patient care from initial inquiries to admission to ensure the highest level of service and satisfaction for our patients, their families, and referents. In her role as a Utilization Review Specialist, she is passionate about advocating for the best possible coverage and care by thoroughly conceptualizing and articulating each patient’s complex clinical needs resulting in support for the necessary, effective length of stay in treatment. In addition to her dedication and deep conviction to patient centered care, Harmony has a unique blend of compassion and sincerity in her support of others’ early recovery. These qualities have made her a strong and esteemed Group Facilitator. Harmony was honored by all of Foundations Recovery Network when she received the award for the top employee of our nationwide treatment organization.

On November 10, 2018, the Woolsey Fire destroyed The Canyon at Peace Park’s treatment facility. At this time, The Canyon at Peace Park is not accepting patients for any services. We arranged for the safe and seamless discharge or transition of all patients when we were forced to evacuate due to the fire.

For over 12 years, The Canyon at Peace Park has been privileged to provide integrated treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders to patients across the nation. Our main focus has always been on our patients and their success. We have served hundreds of patients and their families, providing exclusive treatment and services for a wide range of behavioral health and addiction issues.

Our trained, compassionate staff has been committed to delivering quality patient care with dignity and respect, with the goal of helping our patients return to their communities as healthier individuals. We are extremely proud of the sacrifices of those who worked every day, often under challenging circumstances, to positively impact our patients’ lives.

We thank the physicians and staff for their expertise and dedication in providing high quality, compassionate treatment and care to the patients we have served.

We look forward to carrying on The Canyon at Peace Park’s legacy through our outpatient locations in Santa Monica and Encino.
